The Council Recommendation of 20 September 2016 on the establishment of national productivity boards (2016/C 349/01) invites euro area Member States to designate or set up a national productivity board responsible for analyzing developments and policies in the fields of productivity and competitiveness. In Luxembourg, the European recommendation was implemented by a Grand-Ducal regulation dated 23 September 2018. This regulation was amended in 2023 by the Ministerial regulation of 11 December 2023 establishing a National Productivity Council in Luxembourg.
